Karen Clark & Alain Ménard
We live and work on our small organic fruit and vegetable hobby farm along the shores of the beautiful Ottawa River near Hawkesbury, Ontario. Every morning when we get up we see the changing seasons, the ice on the river in winter, the deer grazing in the woods and the beautiful wildflowers that surround our home. We make every effort to live alongside nature, as appreciatively and undisruptively as possible. From our vegetable garden, apple orchard, rasberry and rhubarb patches, maple trees and from our greenhouse, we love to share our harvest with family and friends.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry. Prior to Green Beaver I worked in the pesticide and pharmaceutical industry for 10 years.
Alain has a Bachelor of Science in microbiology. He worked for 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry before co-founding The Green Beaver Company.
Our knowledge of science and the skills we learned while working for big companies has proved invaluable. We are devoted to continuing to learn and also teaching others what we know.
More and more we are asked questions by the media and are invited to speak at conferences of all sorts, from the scientific to the alternative. We also participate at many consumer health related trade shows. Maybe you will meet us there one day.
